Don't Drip and Drive

DDD_facebook.jpg

When your car or truck leaks oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze and other fluids, it is often a sign of larger problems. Fixing car leaks can prevent inconvenient breakdowns, major engine damage and more expensive repairs.

But your vehicle leaks can also be a problem for our rivers, lakes and streams.  Stormwater runoff carries oil and other toxic leaks directly to the nearest waterway.  Your leak may be small, but the cumulative effect of all the leaking vehcies in Cowlitz County can add up to thousands of gallons of oil and automotive chemicals reaching our waters and impacting fish, wildlife and recreation like swimming and fishing.
